Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Georgia

I stayed in a hotel in downtown Atlanta that claimed there was a "state regulation" that limited the amount of alcohol one could keep in the hotel room to one six pack of beer... I think this manager was simply making up the legal-ese to explain away a hotel policy. Please let me know if this is true or not.

And my apologies if I didn't choose the appropriate category... wasn't sure what area of law this question would fall under!

To the best of my knowledge, no state law states how much alcohol you can have in a hotel room for your personal use.

A hotel is certainly free to have its own policy as to alcohol possession and usage.
