Legal Question in Immigration Law in Georgia

Laid-off while K-3 Application is in Process

Hi,

I am US Citizen, got married in India last year.

I had filed for I-130, then I-129F back in Feb, but I got laidoff in March. Here are my two questions?

1)Would filing for Unemployment Insurance affect my case status anyway, especially with I-134 Form?

2)It seem I have to find a Co-sponsor if I dont find job soon, but How can I add co-sponsor now when my application is already in process? Do I just make him/her fill out I-134 Form?

I'd really appreciate your help.

Thanks.

Dear Inquirer:

The Consul may ask for an updated affidavit of support at the time of the visa interview. If your status has not changed by then, you will most likely need a joint sponsor to sign off on an affidavit of support at that time.
