Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Georgia

financial trouble due to roommates

My roommates recently left our apartment before the end of the lease causing me to have to pay to transfer into another smaller less expensive apartment a few weeks after they left. After they left i had them removed from the lease since they still had a key to our previously shared apartment and i didn't want them to have the right to still come over whenever they pleased for those last few weeks. However now i am being charged for a huge amount of damages to our old shared apartment and i wonder if i could take them to small claims court for partial responsibilities for the damages aquired while we both lived there.
