Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Georgia

How much time is ''legal''

I just received a notice from my landlord that I have three days to vacate the apartment, and I'm trying to find out if this is a legal eviction. I have had several problems regarding this property, including not getting a lease on time. Because they refused to give me a lease, I did not pay august or september's rent.

Re: How much time is ''legal''

Technically, you received notice of intent to terminate the lease. An eviction, or dispossessory, could be filed against you if you stay past the deadline date. You would have a chance to answer the dispossessory and have a hearing date to protest. However, if you havent been paying rent, you will probably loose.
