Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Georgia

I had a dermoide ovarian cyst removed, and during the procedure the surgeon removed my ovary as well, and did not inform me or my husband. still having lots of pain, i went to see my primary care and they did an ultra sound. When they could not find my right ovary, i called the surgeon's office (2 1/2 months later) to find out that they had removed my ovary....is that legal? i feel robbed.

No one on an internet forum can second guess the surgeon and why he did what he did. That comes from a second medical opinion. As far as it being "legal," if you are asking if there is a law against a surgeon removing an ovary, the answer is no. Your issue has nothing to do with "legal" or "not legal."
