Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Georgia

My husband and I live in Georgia but back in Oct. of 2008, my husband was a construction supervisor working on a job out in L.A. He sought treatment one day for a severe headache at a E.R. in Pasadena. They did a CT scan, a lumbar puncture and dismissed him with a diagnosis of cluster headaches and alcohol intoxication. He returned to the E.R. 3 days later still in severe pain. They ran more tests and in my opinion overdosed him with pain medication causing him to go into respiratory arrest and end up in ICU on a respirator. Since coming off of the respirator later that day, he has had no short term memory. He was let go from his job and has not been able to work. He has shown no improvement with his memory. Do I have to file suit in California or can an attorney in Georgia do it for me?

First, you do not file a medical malpractice suit based on YOUR opinion. If it happened in CA, you'll need to file suit there. Find a lawyer in that area who specializes in that area to see if you even have a case.
