Legal Question in Personal Injury in Georgia

Personal Injury Liability

I am being sued by a driver who claims injuries in an accident in which was determined to be my fault. If court awards him more than my $30k insurance liability, what happens to me? I have no assets other than 401k and IRA. Can they get these accounts?

Re: Personal Injury Liability

Make a written request to your insurance company to make every effort to protect your personal assets and income by settling for any amount up to the policy limits. Send that by certified mail, return receipt requested, to the adjuster and to the president of the insurance company. They will try to weasel you out of that position but stick to your guns.
