Legal Question in Personal Injury in Georgia

My request for privacy at the hospital was intruded upon by a hospital staff mem

I was admitted to the hospital as a ''no-info'' patient. I had some domestic issues and wanted privacy and also for possible safety reasons. A hospital staff member knew about my stay and was a friend of my husband. She advised my husband of my stay and he was able to locate me and visit me. Which also resulted in a horrible stay.

Do I have a personal tort for ''invasion of privacy''? it is the hospital policy to protect the privacy of it's patients as well as the hospital policy that members of its staff protect the privacy of its patients.

Do you have a theoretical cause of action? Probably.

But are your damages sufficient to justify the time, trouble and expense of litigation? If he had come in and shot you, etc., the answer would be yes. If it's just some temporary unpleasantness, I wouldn't fool with it.
