Legal Question in Personal Injury in Georgia

Slip Fall

I was recenlty at a department store and rounded a corner where an employee had been mopping. There were no signs saying the floor was wet. The minute I fell the employee left and got signs to put out. I fell, hit my lower back and my head. Doctor says I whiplash and pinched nerves. A rep called and said they would only cover $500.00 of medical only if I filed it through my insurance and not as an accident and sent the bills directly to him. I don't know what to do. I haven't signed any papers. Please help

Re: Slip Fall

I cannot tell from your post where this happened. If in Georgia the presence of the employee means actual notice. The absence of a sign is negligence. Get a GOOD PI lawyer to represent you locally-- do not try to do it yourself and do not get someone who is not a attorney in that locale. Also, all lawyers are not the same. If you get a DUI lawyer or a will lawyer they won't know what to do (although they may pretend they do) and you will get less money or maybe lose the case. I don't handle whiplash cases but if you call me I will help you find the right lawyer.
