Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Georgia

about 5 months ago I backed into a mud filled ditch beside a neighbors driveway. He is now claiming that I damaged his lawn. I did not put the ditch there. I did not fill it with mud. How cam I be held responsible for damage to his lawn?

Presumably 5 months ago you reported this as a potential claim to your car insurer (if you didn't do it now). They have a duty to defend you, but only if your report the claim. They'll decide whether to pay or fight the claim. If you wait to report it, you may have to pay out of pocket.
