Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Georgia

My homeowners association says I am in violation of my covenants by storing a trailer on my property, they say I have 10 days to remove it or they will send someone to remove it. Can someone remove my trailer from my property without my consent?

No one here knows what you consented to. The first place to look is your HOA documents, which we do not have (and you should have, and should know what they say). If they were properly drafted, executed and recorded, even if they must take legal action to have the trailer removed for a violation, you are likely looking at paying the expenses of the legal action (which can be substantial), plus fines, etc., and most likely a lien on your property.

You pose a trick question, as you may not realize that by living in your neighborhood, you have likely consented to be bound by any terms and conditions found in your homeowner association documents and bylaws.

Accordingly, the HOA may have the right to remove the trailer from your property. You should examine your HOA documents and bylaws.
