Legal Question in Traffic Law in Georgia

what are the legal procedures to search you, your passager and your vehicle durin

I was stopped for no seat belt. The officer asked me out of the car where he proceded to look thru my purse not finding anything he proceded to search me. After not finding anything he asked my passenger for ID. He supplied the officer with ID. After running both us over the radio we both came back fine. At this time he asked to search the vehicle. I asked him his reason for searching my vehcile he said my passenger acted nervouse. I never gave him permission to search. After searching the vehcile and not finding anything. He asked my passenger to undo his pants and pull them down behind the police car. He refused this. So the officer asked him to undo his pants and shake vigirous. My passenger did as he was asked. The officer then told us we could go. We left without even a ticket, but wasnt that a little much for no seat belt?

If what you are stating is anywhere close to accurate, you may have a lawsuit against the police dept. and the cop involved for violating your federal and state civil rights. I don't quite understand the part of undoing his pants and "shaking vigorous". You might want to call my office for a conference to assess this more thoroughly. (770) 534-1057.
