Legal Question in Traffic Law in Georgia

My son was involved in an accident in the school parking lot. Both he and the other driver agreed that there was no major damage, and left with the group that had been there. The other boy went to his mother who said go back and call the police. After the fact the other driver went back to the school and was not charged. and my son was charged with leaving the scene of an accident. Both kids left after saying nothing warranted the police. Should I fight this as the police did not see the accident nor the results and it is his word against my sons as to the amount of damage and what was actually prior damage

Yes, you fight it. The best thing you can do is hire a Georgia criminal defense attorney to represent your son. His future record depends on it.

Best of luck.******The above is for informational purposes only and does not create an attorney-client privilege.********

Get a good lawyer. He now needs one. Yes you can fight it, and the result will depend on the facts as decided by a court.

And teach your son that one ALWAYS (repeat ALWAYS) calls the police for every accident.

NEVER make an exception.
