Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Georgia

executor/beneficiary

I have prepared a will for my aunt. She wanted me to be the executor and I am also listed as a beneficiary. Can this be done?

Re: executor/beneficiary

Beneficiaries are often executors, so that's okay.

The rest of your post is very troublesome. If you are an attorney, preparing a will and naming yourself executor is a state bar disciplinary violation. And if you are not a lawyer, you practiced law without a license, and may have left the will open to caveat by the fact that you wrote it and named yourself beneficiary ane executor. If your aunt wants you to be those, you need for her to draw up a will, after an appointment with a lawyer, in which you are not present for the appointment or preparation.
