Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Georgia

I live in Ga. My mother died Nov 2009, in NY. My adoptive father was executor. He told me I need to sign papers to sell house. I did not sign. He took it to court. I did not go. He sold the house. Is there any thing I can do to get my inheritance now?

No one here can possibly answer the question, as we know nothign about the case or estate. We can safely say that not showing up in court is the best way to lose a case (whatever thatc ase was - you did not say). If you want answers, do what you should have done long ago - get a lawyer in the county in which the estate is being handled.

If you chose not to go to court, you probably (by that ill-advised choice), lost the case. See a lawyer in NY to find out. Likely you are too late. You hire lawyers before and not after court dates.
