Legal Question in Workers Comp in Georgia

Who is Responsible

I fractured my elbow a few months ago. The Dr said it was not healing right and sent me to another Dr. She said I need to get a block done to bring the swelling down. One side effect of the block is a stroke, and that has me scared. She is pushing it real hard, if I do get a stroke who is responsible, the hospital, worker's comp, or my employer? Who will pay the hospital bill, and help me get back on my feet once I get out of the hospital? What would this do to my orginal claim on my elbow.

Thank You

Re: Who is Responsible

This is a common question and you have every right to be concerned. If anything were to happen while you are receiving care for your workers' compensation injury, you would be covered under your workers' compensation coverage. If you require any extra medical care or if you are further disabled due to this injection, you would be covered under workers' compensation. Good luck.
