Legal Question in Workers Comp in Georgia

Workers Comp

I fell at work and broke my rt elbow 4/8/06. I have been out of work over a year now. I still can not make a fist and am coming to an end to my doctors care as there really isnt anything that can be done. My question is after I settle with W/C can I then sue the company for personal injury? I am 45 and I dont know how I will work with 1 good hand. I am right handed and this has been a terrible ordel for me and I still have numbness in fingers and can not grip/make fist. Can I sue company and w/c is suing the insurance company. Thank you

Re: Workers Comp

Generally, personal injury lawsuits against your employer are not allowed, since a workers' compensation claim is your exclusive remedy for on-the-job injuries.
