Re: Maximum Sentencing for Felony Sexual Battery.

Id Code section 18-1508A requires life in the pen if the defendant to commit any lewd or lascivious act upon a child, including genital-genital contct, oral-genital contact, anal-genital contact, oral anal contact, nmanual-anal contact or manual-genital contact and the child was 16 or 17 yrs of age and if done with the intent to appeal to or gratify his, a third party's or the child's sexual desires.

It is a felony of 15 yrs in the pen if the defendant solicits the minor child to participate in a sexual act, cause or have sexual contact with the minor child not amounting to lewd conduct.

It is a crime that requires restering as a sex offender.
