protecting my deed

a friend told me of a land that was coming up for sale ask if i was interested i said yes he told sellers i was interested. i flew to id. met the sellers at lawyer office bought the property 6 yrs,\. ago. last year i put the land on market for sale. with a large profit. 7 mo. later my friend sued me suit claims my friend claims that he was buying the property i was only loaning him the money that is why i have deed in my name . all of this is lies. he also claims he gave me 20000 at front door of lawyers office the day of the sale. he has no contract. no agreement in writing nothing. i have traveled to id. 3 times via delta. had to hire id attorney lots of expenses . he suit alledges breach of trust. he wants to give me my money bach take the land and me pay his attorney. i have a clear deed, title ins. i have paid the taxes for 6 yrs. what is my chances to win this case. he has no proof no rec nonothing he is saying this was a verbal. i paid 90000 for the property.

You've done what you should when you hired an attorney. I am guessing this is a question for an Indiana attorney to answer, but stick with your attorney and explore the possibility of a counter suit or a new suit for damages after you win the present case.
