Paying off debts in a Chapter 13

I am in a Chapter 13 plan that includes an auto loan for my car. I need to buy a new car but do not know if I can pay off only the car loan that is involved in the Chapter 13. What are my options?

To make any large purchase such as a car or payoff a debt under a Chapter 13, you need the Court's permission to do so. The proper procedure is to bring a motion before the Court requesting permission from the Judge.
