Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Illinois

I am preparing to file for bankruptcy and my attorney told me to put a stop payment on some of the small loans that I have taken out over the internet because I am having trouble paying my necessary bills. However, now the companies are threatening to put fraudulent charges on me. Are they just trying to scare me or did my attorney give me poor advice?

Since you have an attorney, you need to speak with that attorney in more detail. If you do not trust your own attorney's advice, it sounds to me like yo need a new attorney.
