Legal Question in Business Law in Illinois
I am a Day Spa owner, and just received a call from an x massage therapist who says that by anew hippa law I have to give her al the names and phone numbers of the clients she serviced. This sounds crazy! what do you know? I'm in the state of Il.

Have her provide you with the specific provision of the law that she is relying on. You may never hear back from her or, if you do, at least you're putting the burden on her to assert what she claims to be her rights. It may make a difference If she is a licensed or accredited massage therapist, but it sounds like she is just trying to get clients.....
