Electric Fence in Business

Help me out here. My employer wants to put up an electric fence just inside the windows of our store. Is it legal?, is it a fire hazard?, is it just plain stupid? (my vote). I would imagine with today's society, a burglar could break in, get zapped, and sue us. Am I right?

You would have to check local ordinances regarding the legality. It may or may not be a fire hazard and yes it is possible the employer would be sued.

You could very well be right, but why go to court to see if you are? Why does your employer want to install an electric fence - past incidents of robbery or something else? Why does your employer want you to do the work and not a third pary vendor [still not a good idea and maybe legally risky]?
