Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Illinois

my 14 year old son was on the roof of the school playing with a remote control car. now they are talking about pressing charges for tresspassing even though he did not do any damage (mundelein il). Can they charge him? Also this happened on a weekend and when he went to school on monday the officer on duty made fun of him by asking him how is washington school? he was really embrarrassed.

This is technically criminal trespass in Illinois. But as to a 14-year-old this would be a station adjustment (or should be) where he gets a little lecture at most and then gets sent home. If it sounds like there's any more going on, GET A LAWYER for him.
