Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Illinois

Brach of Contract Suit

I held an expo where companies registered to attend and signed an agreement to pay the amount. One gentleman was suppose to pay the day of the event and attended the event, but never paid for the space. I do have a contract for him and have sent him several letters and Federal Expresses with no avail. I searched his company and he is incorporated in Illinois and I have the direct address of his businesses. I want to file a breach of contract for non payment, is this the way to go? It happened in 10/06 - am I still within the Statute of limitations? Which court form do I use to file this suit?

Re: Brach of Contract Suit

Hello. You are well within the statute of limitations, but I suggests that you get a lawyer to handle this for you. The court system can be

complicated and representing yourself can be troublesome. If you have a lawyer contact the corporation, you may have better luck at getting payment for the debt more easily. Will be happy to discuss this further and in more detail.
