Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Illinois

Is it discrimination ?

A private all male club in Chicago invites a Transgendered Female to Male to their party. The FTM accepts the invitation, RSVPs, & the Club acknowledges the FTM is indeed coming to the party.

Can then the Club take back the invite before the actual party happens ? Or is that discrimination ?

Chicago has an anti-discrimination law that covers Transgendered individuals.

Thank you in advance for your answer

Re: Is it discrimination ?

You haven't identified why the other side said the invitation was withdrawn, or whether there is a local ordinance or state law against this sort of discrimination. It might have been for a legitimate reason, so you need to consult a local attorney who can look into the facts of your case.
