Legal Question in Technology Law in Illinois

I created a website for a friend. He paid me for it after I finished it. I had to change a few things on it because a few things were missing. In the meantime I told him I no longer wanted to have contact with him for personal reasons. He says he is now suing me because I will not show him how to edit and make changes to the site which was never agreed upon as he is not a web designer.

He "says" he is suing you? You've either received a summons and a court date, or you're not being sued.

As far as whether you are in breach of your oral contract, it depends on whether part of the agreement was for you to teach him how to edit the site. It will be difficult for him to prove that this was part of the agreement, but he can testify to that.
