Legal Question in Technology Law in Illinois

Strategic Partnerships

Greetings,

I am in process of organizing an internet start-up. I am seeking a Lawyer for the purpose of Strategic Partnership. I need someone with the knowledge, time and equity to put into an idea, that by all counts, has a very nice future.

There is Patent involved, as well as the usual legal activity. Then of course there is the profit, and all the hard work that leads up to that.

Where is a good place to find someone like this? How do I approach a Lawyer for this purpose in a way that is not presumptuous, or offensive?

Thanks,

Re: Strategic Partnerships

I think you've already made your pitch to a potential pool of IP attorneys! Good luck! I'd be interested in hearing more about your idea.

Re: Strategic Partnerships

Being an engineer and an attorney, internet law is a natural area of practice for me, so this is an area I am getting into. I also know a lot of people 'in the business'. So, if you would like to discuss this matter, please feel free to contact me. If you prefer to find someone you can drive to and see face to face, I might also be able to help you there. Please feel free to call me @ 856-672-1166.

PS - NEVER worry about being presumptuous, or offensive with attorneys when discussing potential representation - we aren't a thin skinned group (can't afford to be).
