Consumer Return Laws
I purchased a pet yesterday, and our current pet is viscious towards it. I'm worried about the new pets safety. In a business law class I remember reading about a law that gives the consumer a 24 hour period to void any purchase or contract. Am I correct? Do I have a legal right to return this pet for a refund? We live in Illinois. Please help ASAP. Thank You!

I know of no 24 hour rule that automatically permits the voidance of any and all contracts in Illinois. You might want to try simply contacting the pet store (or breeder) to see whether they would take it back voluntarily.
