Re: How do I find a case summary

You are looking for the actual case decision, not a summary. The decision is the majority decision of the members of the appellate court who heard and voted on the result and the rationale behind the result.

You need to go to a law library. The Superior Court in Lowell probably has one nearby; if not, you may need to come into the city.

There, if you cannot locate the Illinois Appellate Reporter (it may well not be carried in any but the largest of university or state law libraries), you will look for West's North East Reporter (2nd series). The first number is the volume you find the report in, the second the page on which the decision begins.

I leave the rest up to you. But how do you manage to teach a law class, even at the undergrad level, without some idea of how to get these reports? Are you really a student in the class who missed the lecture?
