Legal Question in Consumer Law in Illinois

My husband & I bought a 2010 vehicle in IL at the end of the day Sat., 6/19/10. Because I have fibromyalgia, my top priority had been finding the right lumbar support for both driver & passenger sides. I rode in the passenger seat on Sun. for 80 miles & everything was fine. On Mon., I drove it to do errands & tried repeatedly to adjust the driver's seat so it would be exactly right. It seemed fine until I got home & after getting out had terrible pain in my upper back. I called the dealership owner & explained the situation & asked if he would stop the title transfer. He rudely informed me the transfer had already taken place. What recourse do I have? I can't drive a vehicle that's going to leave me in pain to the point where I have to get steriod shots. Also, when we were signing the papers, no one pointed out that we had to pay the credit union a financing initiation fee of $299. I feel we have been taken advantage of.

Sounds like a case of buyers remorse...

I don't see that you have a claim for rescission of the contract.

If you are serious about wanting to return the vehicle, consult with some local attorneys regarding the issue.
