civil suit
how do I go about suing an ex boyfriend who owes me over $25,000? we do not have a written agreement, however I wrote 'loan' on the memo portion of the check.

I'd recommend contacting a civil litigation attorney about this. For an amount that large, I do not really advise going into court without an attorney because the amount is too large for small claims court.
