Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Illinois

Unpaid Civil Judgment Dropped from Credit Report after 3 years

I had a civil judgment file against me in March of 2005 with all 3 credit bureaus. As of November 2008, the civil judgment has dropped off on 1 of the credit bureaus. I have not paid the civil judgment. My question is why did this civil judgment fall off my credit report? Can the company re-file the civil judgment again in 2008 or in the near future? I thought civil judgment stayed on your credit report for 7 years.

You would have to ask the credit bureau what happened, but you are better off just keeping an eye on things. As long as the credit bureau does not reenter the civil judgment as a new 2008 entry, you have nothing to fear.
