Generally you are not required to produce identification to an officer. There are certain circumstances under which you are such as: driving a vehicle or if you've committed a crime or are being investigated.

If you were charged with only failing to produce identification with no additional charges you have a strong case. Oftentimes, the police will charge you with obstructing an investigation.

If you would like to discuss your matter, please call my office at 773-791-9682.

Good luck
