my son

Hello help me understand my son been in jail from 08/16/07 for a charge that he didnt do,I got a lawyer but the lawyer is really doing nothing,we when back to court now he is talking about a trail,no one have evey show up in court,and this is a robbery case,i need some advice, I have pay out 2.000 dollars and frist the lawyer was saying he would have him out my christmas,what can I do or what can I expect in this trail and also what is a brench trail.

You should be directing your questions to your son's attorney. There is no such thing as a "brench trial" - you mean to say a "bench trial", which is a trial in front of a judge and not a jury.

Do yourself a favor and speak with your son's lawyer about your concerns.

Criminal law is not an exact science. You need to work with your lawyer or find one you have confidence in. This may take very long time.
