What are the advantages and disadvantages of sentencing a child as an adult for a crime in the United States?

Disadvantage - The child is incarcerated with hardened criminals

and his or her chances of rehabilitation are non-existant to an

extent.

Advantage - The offender is removed

from the streets which relieves the

community affected from this type

of criminal activity.
