Let Go From Job what is my recourse?

I was recently let go from my job.....My boss stated that ''the company had done poorly this past year'' there was no complaint or write ups in my employee file ever in my almost 8 years with the company....then, he hired in a MAN who I am under the understanding is making more than I was, and was introduced to the entire staff with my old job title as ''the new production manager'' what is my chance of recourse? also no severence was given....just my vacation that was due for the end of this year,not for the following year which I am entitled as it is one week vacation after a year, so you are working this year for next years vacation......any help you can give would be appreciated.....thank you

If what you say is true, you may have a cause of action for wrongful termination. What is the basis for your belief that the man performs the same functions as you did in your former job and on what basis do you have to conclude that he is making more money that you did? When did this occur?
