Legal Question in DUI Law in Illinois

My boyfriend is being charged with a few things, DUI, driving on a revoked licsense, and domestic battery...he has never hit me and his ex girlfriend is saying he hit her when he didn't...what can he do to handle this so there is no jail time involved?

The first thing he HAS to do is get a lawyer. He is facing up to 364 days in jail and up to $2,500.00, in fines. Also you can add about $1,000.00, in court costs. Abraham Lincoln once said "He who represents himself has a fool for a client."

What you've mentioned in your question are trial issues. Any lawyer can tell you about pleading guilty. An experienced and talented lawyer will evaluate the case to see if there is a chance at trial.

Yes, your boyfriend needs to hire the best criminal defense attorney he can afford. If the cases against him have been brought in one of the jurisdictions where I regularly practice, I might be able to offer my services for a reasonable fee. Please feel free to have him contact me for a free telephone consultation.
