Legal Question in DUI Law in Illinois

I was charged and convicted on a DUI with not a shed of proof.I never even seen the officer that made the charge in court.Now they are trying to use new law on me ,even though it started on 07/27/2008 is this legal or does Kankakee county have there owen laws.

If what you say is factual and you can prove it, you have a strong case. An experienced DUI attorney (which I am not) is your best help. I do not see how they can use a 2009 law in a case that happened in 2008. You should at least know about the arrest.

I suspect that the officer wrote the wrong license number down. Sadly, if they can prove it was a mistake, you'll be out of pocket for legal fees. You could try to get the court to appoint a Public Defender, but you would have to prove financial need.
