Legal Question in DUI Law in Illinois

dui - required paperwork

its been close to 10 years since i've had my DUI, and I'm wanting to get my license back. But the problem is I'm missing one of the paperwork that shows i finished one of the classes that was required of me. Makes things worse the company i took the classes from has since gone out of bussiness. How then would i go about getting a copy of the paper work other than taking the class all over again.

I suggest that you go to the court where you were sentenced. You probably had to provide proof of completion to the court. Ask the court clerk for the case file regarding your matter. It may take them some time since it was 10 years ago, but the documents you are looking for might be there. Good Luck.
