Legal Question in Elder Law in Illinois

Order Of Protection

I am taking care of a friend and that friend has signed his Durable POA and POA for his health care over to me. My friend is not suppose to drink any alcoholic bevereges because he has seizures. At the present time my friends mind has deteriated to the point that he does not care and goes to a neighbors house and drinks alcohol. The neighbor knows that my friend is not suppose to drink alcohol but buys it for him because I have had all the stores to refuse to sell my friend alcohol. Is there a legal way such as an Order Of Protection against that neighbor to keep my friend from going around the neighbor that buys alcohol for him? Thank you for all your help.

Re: Order Of Protection

You would need to get a restraining order against the neighbor. In the larger picture, how are you going to stop someone from drinking if they are over 21? This seems like an impossible task.
