Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

Age limit to child support

My husband currently pays child support to his ex wife for a child that is over 18, he does not attend school, and does not live with the mother, He is currently in jail. Can he file a motion to terminate support? The mother is saying that according to Illinois Law, he has to pay until the child is 19.

Yes, he should immediately file a motion to terminate support based on the child being emanicipated.
