Child wants to divorce parent

In a divorce case when a child lives with her mom, has there ever been a case when a 14-year-old child was able to divorce her dad?

If the father is only trying to get visitation, and he has not been abusive, then it is very unlikely that you will be able to refuse to see him at all.

As for divorce... 14 is probably too young and the Court will probably not grant a divorce if the child is living with her father. The main exceptions are, once again, in cases of abuse.

The simple answer is "no." You can only divorce someone you are married to. What you are thinking about is terminating parental rights. That happens rarely, and only under the most extreme circumstances, such as sex abuse, etc.
