Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

Custody

My boyfriend is trying to get custody of his kids, but he only has a two bedroom apartment and he has two kids, an 11 year old boy and a 13 year old girl, so they would have to share a bedroom. I heard that there was and age limit to how long a brother and sister could share a bedroom. What is the age limit in Illinois for this and would this affect his custody case?

Re: Custody

Greetings -

In Illinois the courts view this situation on

a case by case basis. Assuming your boyfriend

has a separate livingroom or other room with

a pullout bed for either child, in addition

to the two bedrooms, that could be worked out.

I do hope that your boyfriend has a lawyer.

He should not try to do this on his own. Should

you have any additional questions, I will be

happy to answer them.
