Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

I am on a disabiltiy pension and divorced. My ex reveives 49% of my pension and is also getting 900-1000 a month in Soc. Security benefits for my son on my behalf. She is also still employed and makes a very good salary. My son will be going to college next year and I am being told that when he turns 18 and is still in school that he will start getting my Soc Security benefits in his name and that is covering my responsibility toward his college. Is that correct? Thank you

I believe SS benefits stop when he reaches 18. Check with SSA.
