Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

In my divorce decree, my exhusband was ordered to refinance the home and removed name. He had 90 days to do so or the house was to be sold. He did not do either. The house has now been foreclosed on and bought back by the lender. Do I have any recourse or will I be liable for half of the debt no matter what?

That depends on what is in your divorce decree. If the decree says he is to hold you harmless and indemnify you regarding the debt on the house, then yes to both questions. Assuming your decree says that, then you can file an action against your ex-husband to have the court issue an Order against your ex for any liability you incur as a result of the foreclosure.
