Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

After Divorce.

I am divorced for 9 months. My ex. take video of me when i get the kids and talk to them in my car when i stop to say hello. she will stand with the video camera and walk aroud the car to capture i don't know what. there is nothing between us, that requred that. she just feels like doing that for what ever reason. The kids feel strange about that, and i do to. she will also stop at my house and take picture of my property. I was thinking about TRO. will i have a good base for it, or is there a way for me to stop her from doing that via court?

Re: After Divorce.

TRO is the way to go. Circling your car with a video camera can fall into the category of harassment or violation of privacy ("intrusion upon seclusion") and can even get into the territory of assault if the ex is really aggressive with the camera. Likewise, stopping by your house to take pictures is not appropriate behavior. I recommend asking the Court for a protective order specifically prohibiting this sort of conduct. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
