Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

I have a ex-wife I can not get rid of. She has everthing we have owned and now I am engaged to be married again. This is 4 years down the road. She has made the comments to my son, "if he marries her, her income now becomes mine". Can this happen??

Your new wife's income can not be used to determine support. It may be relevant in your claim of expenses, but the setting of child support usually does not deal with the payor's personal expenses. However, when it comes to college contribution , then your new wife's income and assets may be relevant.
