Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

Me and my fiance live in Illinois. We will be getting married soon. In probably a year and a half from now, we are thinking about moving to Alabama. My fiance has a daughter from a previous relationship. She is 11 years old, and my fiance has custody. Can the father keep us from moving to another state because of the child?

If there is a case on file in IL regarding custody or support, then the child can not be moved out of state without a court order. If no case has been filed she can leave, but be prepared for the Dad to file a case seeking an order that the child be returned to the state.
