Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

I found out my wife wants a divorce but she's waiting till I get my workers compensation settlement for permanent disability if I don't get it until after we are divorced does she still get some that's for me to live on for the rest of my life?

Under recent case law your wife would be entitled to a portion of the award if you have children, as support. She also has a very strong argument for a portion of the award, if the sane is provided for in your judgment of dissolution of marriage.
